Writing Updates

Here it is. February 24th, the date I promised to have a big reveal. Before I tell you just what it is, you should understand a little about me.

I've always had a passion for helping others, even what some described as a bad habit of putting others in front of myself. I can't tell you why I do it, but all I know is I've had this affinity for helping others since I was a child. For the last six years, I have been recognized with various awards for my efforts in making my community a better place. From being named
Brunswick County's Future 10 to being awarded the Ernie Seneca Award for Excellence in Public Service.

I wrote my first book in 2017 while I was struggling through a tough battle with bipolar depression. I wrote it to inspire hope in others that, despite their battles with mental illness, they can have a happy ending. I want them to understand it may not happen right away. When you build your circle with people you trust, it makes it a lot easier to achieve happiness.

As I navigated the world of marketing a book, which is much different than marketing a college or public utility, I began to discover the struggles indie authors everywhere were undergoing. I joined the #WritingCommunity on Twitter and met some of the best people I have ever known. I met people who put unwavering faith in me, despite only talking through a screen. That's what love is, though.

I hear you, get to the point already. I'll get to it, one last thing. I realized just how hard it was for indie content producers to get their work out there. Some of the best stories I have ever read have come from indie authors. Some of the best content comes from the indie community, however they struggle to afford editing, formatting, and marketing services. So I started thinking, how do I change this? If you can't beat them, join them.

I'm happy to announce the official launch of Tea With Coffee Media, my new indie publishing press. We follow the traditional model of publishing houses, but our focus is to find underrepresented authors and those who have stories so worthy of being told. My goal with this venture is to help publish as many media content producers throughout the indie community as I can.

I have put together an amazing team of indie authors, designers, and editors who have a goal of helping indie media producers make their dreams become a reality. Using our experienced award-winning authors, award-winning marketing and communications professionals, and industry-leading professionals, we will help indie media producers develop ideas, assist with editing and formatting, and provide inspiration and motivation for marketing services and cover designs to create a community of successful indie media producers.

What if Reptilian Aliens find our Solar System four hundred thousand years ago, discovering that the third planet had natives. Follow the Annunaki Lord Enki as he tinkers with the native DNA, creating Modern Man and an advanced form. This form becomes our gods, such as Hades, Gaia, Khione, and others.

What will happen to these godly forms as they explore this new planet? Why would Ahura Mazda Chronos get upset at these human-like forms that have replaced the Annunaki? How do native humanoid races react to another form of giants walking around their world? Find out in Book 1 of Generations of Humanity: Dawn of Humanity.

I'm Making Big Moves

I’ve always said I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, and that’s just what I plan to do. I’m making some pretty big moves that are going to shake some things up. I’m planning on changing the landscape and helping people realize their dreams.

I've Made Some Changes

Maybe you’ve noticed my logo changed. It’s possible you saw that my social media handles have all changed. Perhaps you even noticed the url for the site changed. I’ve stepped away from the Tea, But With Coffee namesake, to better embrace who I am.

To My Best Friend, From Your Bipolar Best Friend

Thank you. You’ve been there for me every step of the way over the last five years. You’ve stood by my side when many people left, believing in me even when nobody else did. I distanced myself from you, yet you didn’t give up hope.

The Shaman

I rounded the corner and saw a ghost. There, standing in front of me, was a spirit I hadn’t seen in a hundred years. Her jet black hair ran down the sides of her shoulder, perfectly accenting her ivory skin. Her smile turned into a scowl as she debated between two paint swatches. It had to be her. But how?

A New Lead

It had been a very long time since I had seen any of the Creionides, much less Astraeus. What would the Titan of the Dawn want from me? Were the titans mounting another attack on us? They couldn’t be, right?

The Big Reveal

I sat in the office of my Delos club in Santa Cruz, California. It was nice enough for me to use, but it didn’t have the same home feeling that my club in New York had. You would think I would be more in love with the sunshine state, but there is just something about the city that never sleeps that gets my adrenaline going.
