Salmon Confidential begins with the Kumugwe Dancers welcoming us to this traditional territory of the K'omoks Nation.

Salmon Confidential showcases why First Nations are sounding the alarm about the damage to and the dramatic collapse of their food fishery and coastal ecosystem.

Salmon Confidential provides background into the government’s recent decision to announce a formal investigation into conflict-of-interest allegations at the provincial veterinary lab that audits farmed fish health on contract to the federal government.

Salmon Confidential - the screening - will support First Nations who oppose open-net salmon farms operating in their unceded territorial waters. Donations received this evening will go to the ‘Cleansing Our Waters’ observers on Midsummer Island and the ‘Namgis observers on Swanson Island in the Broughton Archipelago.

Everyone welcome!

The Chapter's 2017 AGM will begin with the news and updates of our various campaigns and activities, in what has been an exciting and busy year. Then, the highly regarded keynote speaker Terry Dance-Bennink addresses how, by moving forward with proportional representation (PR), we can make sure every British Columbian's vote counts.

This year the Chapter will present the Annual Community Action Award at our AGM.

Everyone is welcome to what promises to be an interesting and informative evening, bring a friend, bring your questions - let's talk and grow the PR discussion. Details here.
