You can vote and mail in your ballot now through to November 30 on whether to adopt an electoral system based on proportional representation for BC provincial elections.

Referendum on Electoral Reform

The BC referendum on electoral reform is a rare opportunity to advance our democracy by making it fairer, less prone to special interests and more representative of all British Columbians.

A steady stream of letters to the editor in support of proportional representation (PR) in our local newspapers will help encourage dialogue and raise awareness on the importance of voting in the upcoming referendum.

Write for Rights - Site C is a Dam Mistake

Monday November 12 - 6:00 pm

 The Comox Valley Amnesty Action Circle invites members of the community to Write for Rights on behalf of those whose rights are being violated and pushed aside with the construction of Site C dam.

Information and materials needed to write letters will be provided.

Plastic pollution in aquatic environments poses a serious threat to the health and well-being of wildlife, our sensitive ecosystems, and our communities.

Powell River - Comox - Sarita Bay near Bamfield

Public comment period ends Nov. 18, 2018

A component of Kwispaa LNG project calls for sub-sea pipeline from Powell River to Comox that will traverse across Vancouver Island from Comox shoreline to Sarita Bay. Record article click here and here for Judith Sayers' editorial Foolish Leaders and LNG.
