Help support Japan House programming by taking part in a fascinating and delicious Sake Seminar and Tasting at Art Mart. Wine & sake importer Vine Connections (Monica Samuels), distributor Maverick Wines (Lisa Odum), and Art Mart Wines (Todd Fusco) have teamed with Japan House to offer you this special chance to learn about sake AND support Japan House.

We happen to love sake, but we must admit that we have never had anyone get us as excited about sake as Monica Samuels did when she sat down with us recently to taste the sakes she will be presenting at Art Mart. We couldn't stop talking about really opened our eyes to the range and delight of sake. Read more about Monica below. You are in for a treat. We assure you...if you love sake, or if you're not sure about sake, if you have never had sake, or even if you haven't liked sake in the past....this event is for you!

You will enjoy different sakes paired with some small samples of western flavors such as cheese, cured meats, pickled vegetables, and chocolate. Sake is definitely not just for sushi; this bit of Japanese culture successfully pairs with many types of food. You will also receive a special homemade Japanese sweet as a takeaway gift. We hope you join us!

Tickets are $32 for Tomonokai Members ($16 is tax deductible) and $40 for the general public ($24 is tax deductible). Go to our Eventbrite page to make your reservation now. Art Mart has also generously offered to donate 5% of any 6+ bottle sales to Japan House!

Please take a moment to also look at our video recap of our recent Matsuri. Watching this video makes us realize that all the hard work and all the investment of funds and resources that we put into Matsuri are well worth it. We make Matsuri happen because we truly believe in the importance of sharing Japanese culture with our community. This is why we hold programs to raise funds, such as this Sake Seminar and Tasting, because programs like Matsuri express the heart and soul of Japan House. Thank you for helping to make them happen.

Thanks to our sponsor Adjacency for the video!
