Children's Day this Saturday and Gallery Week Next Week!

CHILDREN'S DAY AT JAPAN HOUSE!

We are getting ready for our annual celebration of Children's Day! This Saturday, May 7, from 1:30 to 3:00 pm, join us for Japanese craft activities and then a demonstration of the Japanese martial art of Aikido by the Central Illinois Aikikai. The craft activities (for those 12 and under) will take place in Japan House from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. The Aikido demonstration will be outside at 2:30 if weather permits---otherwise in Japan House.

Japan House will be full of traditional Children's Day items---koi flags, samurai helmets, Japanese armor and more! And outside, the gardens of Japan House and surrounding Arboretum are now lush and green. Join us, it is free and open to all! Please share this with anyone you think might be interested.
