We were having lunch in an Irish pub/restaurant, and he was telling me about his work designing and delivering curricula in a training department. As he told his stories, the bigger, more important Story took shape in my mind. The story of his unique superpower.
He was not just a trainer. He was a builder. An architect of training frameworks. An infrastructure designer.
That one insight - summed up in the keyword, "infrastructure" - has shaped the rest of his career. All of his subsequent roles were founded on this DNA-level superpower - the ability to envision and create larger structures and empower others to progress in their careers.
