SUSTAINABLE DESIGN, STATE-OF-THE-INDUSTRY FEATURES FOR PORT'S CENTENNIAL INDUSTRIAL BUILDING 
With design and permitting for a 125,000-square-foot industrial building at the Port of Vancouver USA complete, construction on the first port-owned industrial facility in Centennial Industrial Park began in November. The Centennial Industrial Building (CIB) will be a state-of-the-industry facility with dock and grade doors, on-site office space, easy access for tractors and trailer turn around, and ample electrical supply. Read more...
TERMINAL 1 BUSY WITH ACTIVITY THIS FALL
It may seem quiet at Terminal 1 this fall. While WareHouse ’23, the new eatery in the former Quay Restaurant, remains a popular attraction at the port’s waterfront property, the rest of the 10-acre site seems to be lying in wait. JIM HAGAR: RIVER CRUISES BOOST WATERFRONT DURING REDEVELOPMENT
Did you know that the largest overnight riverboat west of the Mississippi River docks right here in Vancouver? The American Empress, part of the Memphis, Tennessee-based American Queen Steamboat Company, begins its luxury cruises at the Port of Vancouver USA’s low dock at Terminal 1 on the Columbia River. From Vancouver, the sternwheeler travels up the Columbia and Snake rivers to Clarkston, Washington, stopping along the way to take in the sights and experiences of the Pacific Northwest. MORE GRATTIX UNITS COMING TO PORT OF VANCOUVER USA
Over the last several years, the Port of Vancouver USA has built several Grattix treatment boxes to naturally treat stormwater runoff from roofs. This year, we worked with Vancouver General Contracting to build 30 new Grattix treatment boxes to be used throughout the terminal. Next year, we'll do a spotlight feature on these innovative, natural treatment boxes and how they have been incorporated into stormwater-management plans throughout the state. Read more...
