Community Garden Update
We have passed the torch on the Grundy County Community Garden this upcoming spring! This year the garden will be left in the capable hands of Ashlen Busick from the 1st Christian Church in Trenton. Individual plots will no longer be offered at the site, but the church plans to create garden spots for the North 65 Senior Center and the Grundy County Food Pantry. If you are interested in learning more or volunteering to help, please contact the church directly.
Highlighting New Employees
Amanda Spencer has joined the team as Resource Development Manager. Amanda, a Trenton native, and her husband of 17 years Steve, have a 10 year old son. She comes to GHCAA fresh from a long time position with a top-rated training company and says she is glad to have found a good job a bit closer to home.

Kimberly Swaney from Marceline, MO has accepted the Youth Coordinator position.  She comes to us with experience in case management and working with foster parents and children.  Her history of working with these families to assist them with barriers they may have will make her a definite asset to our Youth program and she looks forward to getting to know the kids she'll be working with.
Brandi Pittman has accepted a Community Organizer position here at GHCAA.  Brandi served as a Victim Services Advocate at Green Hills Women's Shelter for 5 years.  She has a lot of experience in working with volunteers and has developed trainings and presentations to inform the public, both at the individual and business level, about what services are available to people in our service area.

Riley Winter is the newest member of the GHCAA Housing Development team. Riley has joined the agency as Crew Member and will be out and about working on homes in the area. He has experience in construction, electrical work, and home repair, and is very happy to have joined the GHCAA staff!
