Dear <<First Name>>,

Greetings from Kenya, where the high season is in full swing! Below, we have a selection of recent stories ranging from unbelievable wildlife encounters, unique yoga and picnic experiences, Top 20 rankings and more...all illustrating how the Saruni safari experience is truly exhilarating and exceptional.

Best regards,
Saruni Mara reaches 100 reviews
We are thrilled that earlier this month Saruni Mara reached and surpassed 100 reviews on TripAdvisor, and moved up to a Top 20 ranking of 109 properties in the Masai Mara! Our 100th review mentions how Saruni Mara is "a total gem" and "a great luxury safari experience", and how the guests decided to visit Saruni Mara based on our previous TripAdvisor reviews. Elephant Rescue in Mara North
Two Saruni Mara guests had the privilege of watching conservation in action. William Santian, our head guide at Saruni Mara, found a bull elephant limping while on a game drive in Mara North Conservancy. He was able to identify a wound on the elephant's leg and immediately alerted the Mara Elephant Project team. Together with the guests, William waited with the elephant, following carefully, until the veterinary team arrived by helicopter 45 minutes later. The elephant was darted and tranquilized while the medical team cleaned and treated his wound, which had an immediate noticeable affect on the elephant's limp. Read the guests' review of this fantastic experience here.
Exceptional experiences: yoga and picnics on safari
There is nothing quite as magical as having a delicious picnic out in the African wilderness. Picnics are not new to us in any way...but the Saruni picnic experience just got even better. Our beautiful, custom-made picnic sets arrived earlier this month and are already being put to good use in the Mara and Samburu!
Saruni Samburu is recognised as an ideal and iconic yoga destination, thanks to the warm climate and spacious, level areas in each villa open unto the most incredible views. With the recent refurbishment of Saruni Samburu, we have now placed special Saruni yoga mats in each room for guests to use as they please.

Ewaso lions and Chris Letur
Our head guide at Saruni Samburu, Chris Letur, has recently joined the Lion Watch program in Samburu. Chris is one of seven guides in Samburu who underwent special training in the skills necessary to be a part of the Ewaso Lions Lion Watch program. There are now 20 Lion Watch guides in Samburu, who collect important lion data while on their daily gamedrives and record and report data via smart phones. Saruni is delighted to support and have our head guide actively take part in this important local conservation project. Read the full article here.
