"Spring" Into Action For Durham!

Join us for our biggest fundraiser of the year this Friday May 18th, 2018 at Durham’s Hillandale Golf Course!

Join us to raise funds to make community beautification programs possible while playing a game of golf, winning raffle prizes, and eating a delicious BBQ lunch with friends and coworkers.

The Keep Durham Beautiful Spring Golf Classic is a four player captain’s choice tournament. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and play begins at 9 a.m.

Proceeds from this event go directly to help Keep Durham Beautiful fund litter prevention, waste reduction and community greening projects. Golf for a greener Durham! Sponsorship opportunities are available.

For more information, please contact Tania Dautlick at or 919-354-2729.

Join us for the 2018 Durham Tire Recycling Drive on Saturday, June 2nd from 8am to 12pm. We are encouraging residents to properly dispose of old tires that may hold standing water in order to prevent mosquito breeding and the diseases they may carry.

Tires are always accepted at the Durham Waste Disposal & Recycling Center, but only in quantities of five per visit. This is your chance to recycle larger quantities of unwanted tires FOR FREE! Tires from businesses will not be accepted.

We still need strong volunteers to help move tires - sign up for a shift here!

On Saturday, June 2nd from 9am to 1pm join the Durham Police Department in partnership with Keep Durham Beautiful for a spring cleaning event to strengthen police- community relationships while promoting community greening, litter prevention, and waste reduction. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know your local police force, become a steward of the environment, and take ownership over your community! Gloves, vests, litter grabbers, & bags will all be provided.
