In Memoriam

Professor Emerita Meredith M. Silver

Dr. Meredith M. Silver, Professor Emerita in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, passed away on April 25, 2014. Professor Silver was a pathologist at the Hospital for Sick Children. She was an enthusiastic teacher, learner and adopter of new technology.  She believed that hard work should be fun, and her sense of humour and optimistic, upbeat personality will be dearly missed. Family, friends and colleagues can make a donation to the Meredith & Malcolm Silver Scholarship in Cardiovascular Studies in honour of her memory. The scholarship is awarded to a graduate student who has maintained or achieved honour standing during his or her residency with the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, and has shown an interest in cardiovascular research.
