Sunday, June 18: Stayin’ Safe Pittsburgh Mini-Tour
This 4-hour mini-training tour is a great introduction to the Stayin’ Safe on-street coaching format and to the program’s fundamental curriculum.

Sticking primarily to Pittsburgh’s highly scenic and well-marked “Orange Belt” and “Red Belt” routes that circle the far northern reaches of Allegheny County, this abbreviated Stayin’ Safe program delivers a fabulous mix of great back roads, picturesque suburban areas, public parks, historic sites, and even a touch of light city riding. The colored belt routes are ideal training routes for our “Perfect Mix” Stayin’ Safe program.
Throughout the four-hour session, we’ll be applying key visual strategies (scanning techniques, recognizing potential threats, prioritizing potential risks, having escape routes, etc.) and introducing cornering and traffic management skills. The session wraps up with a debrief session.
Training begins at the Panera Bread at the Miracle Mile Shopping Center in Monroeville, PA, 13 miles east of Pittsburgh at the junction of routes 76 (PA Turnpike), 376, 22 and 48. This training tour does not include overnight accommodations or meals.
