What's New in 2022 !

As we turn the page on 2021 and look forward to what the New Year may bring, here are a number of Snyder’s Riders initiatives we have planned for this upcoming season.

"Riding Alongside" The Story of Snyder's Riders

Now celebrating over 5 years serving the riding community, Snyder’s Riders continues to evolve. In this video, “Riding Alongside, the Snyder’s Riders Story”, learn how this innovative program has grown to over 3,000 members throughout Western and Central Pennsylvania. See how their efforts have helped support numerous charities and motorcycle events while rewarding members with safety related giveaways during the riding season. Follow the journeys of Tamica and Cornell, two members whose stories are sure to inspire others as they share their own unique contributions to the riding community as Snyder’s Riders representatives.

Gear up, get on and get in gear as “We Ride Alongside” to bring you the story of Snyder's Riders!

Ride Safe!

Animated Motorcycle TV ad
You may have already noticed the realistic-looking animated ads featuring our sponsors Edgar Snyder & Associates. As part of that continuing campaign, a new animated motorcycle spot is set to be released this Spring. Not your typical “cartoon,” this 15-second commercial features every rider’s greatest fear… a driver violating your right of way and pulling out right in front of you.

A situation certain to resonate with many riders, we hope that it will also connect with other motorists, serving as a reminder to look and think twice before pulling out in front of an approaching motorcycle. Be sure to look for the hidden “shout out” to Snyder’s Riders in the commercial. There are other hidden gems in all the Edgar Snyder animated spots– keep an eye out when you watch them so you can “Find Edgar!”

Functional Parking Lot Drills
A series of advanced parking lot drills that highlight functional riding techniques will be added to the Snyder’s Riders YouTube channel this season.

As requested by several Snyder’s Riders members this past year, these short instructional videos will show you exactly how to improve your “street skills” while in the (relative) safety of a parking lot, away from traffic conflicts. Subjects include: Smooth stopping, starting on a hill (solo and with a passenger), turning from a stop, slow speed control tips, advanced cornering techniques, and how to avoid a rear-end collision by safely making use of escape routes.

And if you haven’t already, check out the 80+ videos that are currently on the Snyder’s Riders YouTube channel. They are a great resource, especially during the off-season, to improve your riding chops.

Froggy Radio Motorcycle Tips
In cooperation with Froggy Radio, Snyder’s Riders will be presenting the “Motorcycle Tip of the Week” during the months of April, May, and June throughout the Harrisburg listening market.

Each 30-second radio spot will feature a practical and easy-to-remember safety tip. These “Ridin’ Rhymes” are “timely rhymes to save your behind.”  We’ll cover a variety of topics each week in time to get you ready for all your weekend riding adventures. Spots are scheduled to air Thursday and Friday afternoons between 3-7pm. We will also feature these tips on the Snyder’s Riders social media accounts for all to enjoy. Keep an ear open for these unique safety reminders!

Expanded Event Schedule
This past season, Snyder’s Riders / Edgar Snyder & Associates committed resources to increase our support of events like Johnstown’s "Thunder in the Valley", Gettysburg Bike Week, the Veterans Memorial Ride, “Bikers for Barkers,” and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s “Ride for Kids.” These events have been a great opportunity to meet riders in person as we spread the Snyder’s Riders message into the Central PA region.

This year we are looking to add even more to that list. Already being discussed are the returns of York Bike Week and Erie Bikefest. Look for us at local bike nights and dealership events as well during this coming season. As always, be sure to stop by the Snyder’s Riders booth to say hi in person and receive your membership package complete with cool swag!
