Rock Star: how to make your own aragonite
Rocks and Landscapes of the Sunshine Coast book
Did you know that you could make your own aragonite crystals from limestone?  It's so easy and cheap and just the thing to get those geology lessons really rocking.  If you have a top tip for a prac then please have a howl to the hound.

How was your summer holiday?  We had a week at the beach!

Mum booked us a dog friendly holiday house in Hervey Bay and there was a leash free beach right around the corner.  The air conditioned living room wasn't a bad way to spend the hot summer nights, either.

Lots of kids and fur kids to play with at the beach and everywhere we went I heard people saying 'big dog!".

Dad collected some foram rich sand while we were there and now we'll have a new prac ready to go for workshops.  Well, we will as soon as Mum gets around to writing some notes for it.

Check out the World Foraminifera Database for a gallery of some of the things you are likely to find.
