Small samples for experiments

A howl from the Hound: This week Mum and Dad have had me sniff out much smaller samples than usual for my friend at a local school. She was looking for 4 different examples each of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks for a heat absorption experiment. We put together class sets of each that were just the right size for holding safely with tongs. If this is an experiment you are doing in the classroom and you need a hand putting together the samples then drop us a line and save yourself the time and effort it takes to bash big rocks into small pieces. Dad loves an excuse to get the rock saw out. ~ Angus. ps. next week we will be in Hervey Bay running workshops on rock ID and how to sniff out foraminifera at the beach.
