Neighbourhood Houses Tours
Correction to email address
Neighbourhood Houses offer a safe and welcoming place for workers to engage with their clients and the ATDC and Neighbourhood Houses Tasmania would like to invite AOD workers to vist the Neighbourhood Houses on organised bus tours. The houses have a lot on offer to assist people recovering from substance use issues.
Neighbourhood Houses can provide:
- social support and a sense of belonging
- activities to help rebuild confidence, including literacy programs and other training opportunities
- opportunities to volunteer and contribute
AOD workers who attend a Neighbourhood House Tour will gain a greater sense of the work that Neighbourhood Houses do and how this may be of benefit to your clients.
The tours are being held in the North on 28 November, North West on 29 November and in the South on 1 December. There is no cost and transport and lunch will be provided. Further information can be found here.
Please note: These tours are not the annual ATDC bus tours. These are aimed at AOD workers to learn more about Neighbourhood Houses.
There are limited spaces on these bus tours so please register your interest quickly! Phone Jonathan at Neighbourhood House Tasmania on 03 6228 6515, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
