Dear Friends and Supporters,

RIT Kosovo™, A.U.K’s implementing educational partner, provides a discerning, career-oriented education designed to support the needs of Kosovo and the region. Now in our thirteenth year of operation, over 850 students have earned an RIT degree from our Global Campus in Kosovo. Our recent comprehensive alumni survey confirmed, with over 500 students responding, what we all had worked so hard to achieve, unprecedented success! Our graduates work across all sectors of the economy, have higher than average remunerations as compared to national data, have developed several successful businesses, are employed in the public and private sector, and continue to win almost half of the available competitive scholarships for post-secondary studies from top schools in Europe and the United States available to Kosovars.

Being Kosovo’s only private, not-for-profit higher education partner, we have a unique set of challenges - affordability high among them. In a recent survey of high school students across Kosovo, many indicated their desire to attend RIT Kosovo™ but the cost of the education has been reported as the number one hindrance to attaining that dream. We’d like to be able to extend more scholarships to ever more deserving and qualified students from Kosovo and the region. To do so we need your help.

We continue with the Professor Julia Norrgard | Faculty and Staff Scholarship to honor our former faculty colleague and good friend Julia Norrgard, who retired in December 2014.  Professor Norrgard remains a model of enthusiasm, dedication and hard work, and an inspiration to our students and alumni. Last year each and every member of the A.U.K staff gave to the scholarship fund in recognition of her outstanding contributions.

This year we introduce the Winfred L. Thompson Scholarship, in honor of the former President of A.U.K who retired last year. Dr. Thompson’s distinguished career in higher education, coupled with dedicated student-focus, helped us usher in new life and enthusiasm to this annual give campaign. Dr. Thompson himself being a generous supporter of student scholarships.

Please give as generously as you can. Click here for more information on ways to give.

Dr. Sharon Y. Hart, A.U.K President
