Open Mic Marathon 2015

We hosted an Our Big Gig music event at Flaxivity Youth Centre on Saturday the 11th of July. This was a great day, which was well attended. 35 performers took part, with a 5 hour open mic session plus workshops for DJ skills, synth playing and drumming.

We also raised over three hundred pounds for the Friends thanks to sales of Dea's wonderful chilli, public donation and a sizable contribution from the Dolphin from their bar takings.

Thanks to everyone who took part, to the enthusiastic audience and special thanks to Mike Ashton for his amazing photographs.

We will certainly be repeating this event next year - watch this space.

Free Summer tours

Bookings for the Flaxmill Maltings Summer tours are going well. There are still places available for the tours in August.
