Student of the Month
Congratulations to Kailee Schultz for winning the October 2.0 Student of the Month!

Kailee is a Sophomore from DeKalb High School. Kailee has stepped up and tackled all the challenges of being a remote learner. She is excellent at checking in daily, never misses a meetup, and maintains communication with her teachers. Kailee's ability to advocate for herself shines and she is dedicated to reaching her goals. Kailee has done a great job so far this semester.
Fall Fun Festival
Every year KEC students and staff participate in a Fall Fun Festival. The purpose of the festival is not only to have fun, but also to promote team building within mentor groups as well as good sportsmanship.

The KEC Mentoring Program sponsors the event with the help of Student Ambassadors. This year one of the Professional Learning Community groups also lent a hand with developing the games, brainstorming the event, and setting everything up.

There were 5 stations and competitions: paper airplanes, physical competitions (such as hula hoops, planks, and races), games (such as jar pong, hopscotch, and Jenga), Kahoot, and posters.

In addition to the games, this year KEC ordered t-shirts for each student, and after lunch donuts and cider.

It was a good day.
