November Student of the Month Winners

The November CNA Student of the Month is Regina Lauritzen. She is a senior at Hiawatha High School and is a student who always brings a positive attitude into the classroom. She willingly goes above and beyond to help her classmates with reminders or study materials. It is evident that Regina prides herself in her work regardless of whether it is a small assignment or a test. Congratulations Regina!

The November Early Childhood Education class is spotlighting Holly Helgeson. She is a junior at Genoa Kingston High School. Holly started out strong in this class, with great attendance and completing all assignments; and she has continued to shine as a student. One thing that really stands out to me, in addition to her high grades, is that she started joining our class even before her home school started in the Fall. I appreciate Holly’s dedication
and hard work!
The November Sports Medicine Student of the Month for first session is Megan Kowalski. She is a senior at DeKalb High School and has done a great job navigating the hybrid option of Sports Medicine. She is not always able to come to class or even live stream due to her schedule at DeKalb. However, she finds a way to stay engaged and submits her assignments many times before the due date. Megan has also expressed interest in Sports Medicine after graduation. Megan has displayed great time management and communication skills that have been rare in many students during
these trying times.

The November Criminal Justice Student of the Month is Anthony Ackerman. He is a junior at Hiawatha High School and has great participation. His insightful input and questions help the class understand and often see things from a different perspective.
The November Sports Medicine Student of the Month for third session is Perla Gonzalez. Perla is a senior at Hiawatha High Schooland  has done a great job navigating the schedule of KEC while being in and out of adaptive pauses all semester.  She has navigated Sports Medicine in a non traditional setting.  Overall, she has a great personality for the field and has done an unbelievable job staying engaged despite the pandemic.

The November Medical Terminology Student of the Month is Jeslyn Grant. She is a senior at Hiawatha High School and has done a great job navigating Medical Terminology in the most untraditional of settings. Due to her home school schedule, she has been unable to attend our live lectures or sit in person in class. She has done a great job completing this class completely remote. Overall, she has shown great maturity and discipline.
