Senior Project by Maya Federle in the 411 Community Studio

Maya Federle, a senior at Columbus East High School, is collaborating with the Council for Youth Development to conduct interviews for her senior project, Humans of Columbus.

Maya’s goal for these photos and stories is to reveal the diverse patchwork of stories that makes up the community of Columbus.

Call for Public Artists: NEA Our Town in Batesville

HeART and Sole of Downtown Batesville seeks qualified artists to design and create exterior art projects. The artwork will enhance the overall character and atmosphere of the downtown core and support a welcoming environment. Local, regional and national artists and designers are invited to submit design ideas.

Artists who have demonstrated experience will complete the project independently and/or with a crew, if approved by project organizers . The Public Art selection team for HeART and Sole will meet with the mural team for a design consultation and provide initial oversight and timeline.

Call for Session Proposals: 2020 Indiana Arts Homecoming

The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) is inviting session proposals from individuals or organizations for its annual arts conference, the Indiana Arts Homecoming, October 15–16, 2020, in Columbus, Indiana. 

Indiana Arts Homecoming is a two-day gathering of artists, arts organizations, arts educators and arts advocates (community members and more) that provides knowledge, tools, step-by-step strategies and a compelling call to action.
