Preservation & Migration Seminar 2022 - Save the date

Preservation & Migration Seminar 2022 on June 21st online, free access.

Film in Television archives. What is to be done?

There is a 50 year history of film in TV archives. Before videotape, film was the storage method for TV. Film is special: it can last many decades if properly stored.
While videotape has had to be converted to files, large amounts of film remain on shelves and much remains without access: can’t be used in production, can’t be viewed online and its value remains locked away.

What should be done with this film?

This seminar will present actual case studies and practical guidance.
