Paws in Applause

The PAA staff would like to pause and appreciate our incomparable PAA students. Here is one reason—out of the many—for which we applaud each of you:

Alex Arriaza, through his leadership, has set an uplifting tone for PAA. He's used his influence for incalculable good.

Alina Brown treats everyone with kindness and encouragement, even in challenging situations.

Andrew Davis treats each person with upmost respect and kindness, will go out of his way to strike up a conversation with someone on the outskirts, and frequently asks thought-provoking questions with a listening ear and caring heart.

Andy Knudson is loyal to his friends and seeks to lift the atmosphere by making others laugh.

Barrett Thompson has been responsible and hard-working in class. He's consistent and dependable.

Bella Kluis sets high standards for herself and her friends yet impressively balances them with grace and patience.

Ben Villavicencio has set high personal goals for himself which he strives to fulfill through hard work.

Benjamin Seaton was a uniting force of enthusiasm in mixing all the grade levels on the bus during Music Tour.

Blake Nelsen exhibits an attitude of encouragement & gratitude.

Branda Sayegh is independent and doesn’t pass up opportunites to learn: when another student was trying to help her solve an algebra problem, she boldly declared, "Wait! Let me try this on my own first!"

Branden Sayegh has an infectious laugh, and he's made this school year decidedly more entertaining. He's clearly a reliable and consistent friend.

Breasa Meza is creative, diligent, caring towards her friends, and willing to stand up for what she thinks is just.

Caden Clem developed new skills as he worked hard on the yearbook.

Calvin Thompson is a reliable and hard worker who cares about his classmates' success.

Cameron Salvador's experience was essential to getting the yearbook done. He was the right person to be editor.

Cedric Clark is enjoying the rewards resulting from applying himself academically.

Cedric Smith displays a quiet, polite, yet resolute persona.

Chris Osifo has brought insightful and thought-provoking comments to class discussions.

Cody Mintzer’s doodles (that term doesn't do them justice) are amazing. His lettering on my whiteboard consistently impressed me.

David Lockwood was a consistent source of cheerful humor in my class.

Dillan Rios is quick to befriend others, offer his assistance, and has been a faithful trumpet player in band.

Ellie Osifo is a responsible, motivated student, and her smile brightens everyone's day.

Ethan Kitto enthusiastically pursues his interests and humbly enlightens others about the beauty he discovers.

Ethan Simandan has a passion for learning. He asks tantalizing philosophical & mathematical questions.

Evann Lee has excelled in all that he has put his mind to.

Haiden Shoemaker’s knowledge of history is remarkable.

Jake Chinnock is blessed with a personality that remains calm in a wide spectrum of situations.

Jamison Ibarra floored me with his acting skills during his Education Sabbath skit.

Katie Hamilton has helped PAA know God more and be more excited to serve Him.

Kaylie Pontel has contributed significantly to creating spiritual events on campus and has been a core member of choir this year.

Lela Mascarenas repeatedly and patiently helped me understand the meaning of some contemporary slang I'd never heard before.

Lindsey Ching demonstrates that she loves life through her smile & numerous interests.

Luke Selby brings thoughtful, creative ideas to everything he participates in.

Matthew Camozzi has learned the importance of self-discipline and making tangible progress towards his personal goals.

Neveah Stevens has an eye for detail and aesthetic design, and when he speaks up it is always worth listening to.

Nic Baumbach's a talented musician—both in performance and composition—but as with his other gifts, he's humble about it.

Noah Mascarenas is quick to pick up on what someone may be thinking or feeling before most people in the room might notice. He also seeks out things that are genuine and meaningful and will push his peers to deeper thoughts when conversations get too shallow.

Rylee Greene perceptively saw how other students were feeling and helped ensure everyone was cared for emotionally.

Saber Lindgren’s knowledge of the Bible is impressive, and so are his caricatures!
