New this week at the Pickford is The Eyes of Tammy Faye starring Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield.

The film is an intimate look at the extraordinary rise, fall and redemption of televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker. In the 1970s and 80s, Tammy Faye and her husband, Jim Bakker, created the world’s largest religious broadcasting network and theme park, and were revered for their message of love, acceptance and prosperity. Tammy Faye was legendary for her indelible eyelashes, her idiosyncratic singing, and her eagerness to embrace people from all walks of life.

Also new is Natalie Morales' new film Language Lessons starring herself and Mark Duplass in a story told entirely through video call wherein Duplass plays a man whose husband has gifted him 100 Spanish lessons as a slight prank. Morales plays his teacher and their friendship begins to blossom with each lesson as they deal with life's curveballs in between their meetings.
