CWRU Students Learn, Travel and Volunteer over Spring Break

This year, more than 150 CWRU students are currently overseas for spring break (March 9-13), traveling with one of 14 different programs in 10 different countries. CWRU students are exploring the Netherlands, France, Greece, Poland, Jordan, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Morocco, Uganda, and the Dominican Republic. Some groups are participating in credit-bearing courses, while others are contributing to service-learning opportunities organized by CWRU staff and students.

Interested in learning Mandarin and experiencing Chinese culture this summer? For next to nothing? You could receive a fully-funded two week journey in China this summer!  Study Abroad Photo Contest--Deadline Extended to March 27!
The deadline to submit your entries for the 2015 study abroad photo contest has been extended by one week to March 27th! If you’re currently abroad for spring break, this is the perfect opportunity to look through your pictures and find this year’s winning shot. All students who studied abroad between May 2014 and the current semester are eligible to participate. Visit the photo contest website for details and instructions on how to enter.



Juniper Study Abroad Panel March 17
Come to Taplin House at 6pm on Tuesday, March 17th to hear all about study abroad from a panel of returned study abroad students. Ask your fellow students about their experiences studying overseas and find out what programs would work for you!

 Join the Center for International Affairs at the
Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) on March 23rd

Study abroad and international students are invited to watch The Hand that Feeds as part of CIFF at a special discounted rate. Tickets are $3 in advance and can be purchased in Tomlinson 143. Tickets will only be sold until March 19th. On the 23rd, students will meet at 6:20pm at Tower City Cinemas to enjoy CIFF’s showing of The Hand that Feeds.
