CWRU Delegation Accepts Heiskell Award at Conference in Davis, California
On March 11th, a delegation of Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) administrators, comprised of William A. "Bud" Baeslack III, Provost and Executive Vice President; David Fleshler, Vice Provost for International Affairs; and Molly Watkins, Executive Director for International Affairs, attended the Institute of International Education's (IIE) Annual Best Practices Conference and Heiskell Awards Presentation in Davis, California.
Case Western Reserve University and Florida International University were named co-winners of the 2015 Heiskell Award in the category of Internationalizing the Campus in January. Provost Baeslack accepted the award from Allan Goodman, President and CEO of IIE, and spoke briefly about what the award means to the CWRU community in terms of validating our internationalization efforts.
The Conference, open to IIE's more than 1,400 higher education institutions, included panels outlining strategies and best practices. Flesher was invited to participate in the "Strategic Planning for Comprehensive Internationalization: Best Practices for Internationalizing the Campus" session as a panelist.
CWRU's internationalization efforts were featured in the Spring 2016 IIEnetworker, which was distributed to all conference attendees and IIE member institutions. An online copy of the publication can be accessed here
