Explore Faculty-Led Summer Study Abroad Programs!

    CWRU students can explore exciting learning opportunities in China, Cuba, Italy or France this summer on a short-term, faculty-led study abroad program.
    Faculty-led programs provide a great option for students to experience a new culture with the guidance of CWRU faculty, the camaraderie of other students and only require a time commitment of a few weeks. 
    Here are this summer's options:

Study Abroad Scholarships
  • Israel Research Scholarship
    • Undergraduate students can apply to participate in research projects in mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science and the life sciences at the Weizmann Institute in Israel. Applications are due Saturday, November 30.
  • think: global Scholarship
    • The CWRU Center for International Affairs is excited to offer the think: global need-based study abroad scholarship! Awards of $500 - $1,500 are available to CWRU students! Applications are due Sunday, December 1.
  • German Academic Exchange Service Grant
    • This program provides scholarships to attend a broad range of summer courses at German universities which focus mainly on German language and literary, cultural, political and economic aspects of modern and contemporary Germany. Applications are due Sunday, December 1.
  • Taiwan Engineering Summer Research Internship
    • Apply for a free summer engineering internship in Taiwan. Scholarships to cover airfare and accommodations are also available. Applications are due Friday, January 10.
  • Gilman Scholarship
    • The Gilman Scholarship Program broadens the student population that studies and interns abroad by supporting undergraduates who might not otherwise participate due to financial constraints. Applications will open in mid January and are due Tuesday, March 3.
