It's Photo Contest Time!

The Fourth Annual Study Abroad Photo Contest is open! Anyone who studied abroad from Summer Break (starting in May) of 2014 through Spring Break of 2015 is welcome to participate. There will be five winners total and several opportunities to win cash prizes!

Students can enter photos into four different categories: 1) Cultural Selfie; 2) CWRU in Motion; 3) The World is Your Classroom; and 4) General. Each category winner will receive $50! In addition, we will award a $50 prize to the photo that receives the most likes on our Facebook page, and $50 to the overall winner of the contest. One lucky entrant could potentially win $150!

Look through your old photos or plan on taking a new one if still abroad! The Office of Education Abroad wants to encourage other Case students to take advantage of study abroad programs, as well as to celebrate those who have already studied abroad. For more information on the contest and to submit your photos, visit the
Photo Contest Website.

Featured Program: Study Abroad in Cuba!

During three weeks of summer, students will have an opportunity to study in Matanzas, a city located on the northern shore of Cuba, about 60 miles from Havana. This course immerses students in daily Cuban culture, develops and strengthens their proficiency in the Spanish language and invites them to interact with the local Cuban community. They will interact with artists, intellectuals, musicians, academic faculty, historians, and writers. Students will also meet scholars and visit places related to their academic majors. Students will also actively participate in the editing of a hand-crafted book, which will include their names in its credits. This will allow them to be completely immersed in another culture and langauge and will enhance their Spanish skills. More importantly, they will become familiar with different ways of working, thinking and interacting.
