Center for International Affairs: Annual Report 2014

The Center for International Affairs works in close cooperation with departments, schools, the College, and academic and administrative units on campus to cultivate a dynamic international presence. With that, the Center is pleased to present our 2014 Annual Report, underscoring CWRU as perhaps the most international institution in Greater Cleveland.

Our annual report can only skim the surface of CWRU’s pioneering efforts around the globe.  We have done our best to provide a better understanding of that work by including a sampling of international accomplishments from across campus. We invite you to read articles from each school and the College (pages 10-17) highlighting faculty, staff and students involved in education, research and service on all seven continents, including Antarctica (page 11).
We invite you to review our internationalization efforts and join with us as We Bridge CWRU and the World.

Education Abroad: Study Abroad Photo Contest Winners

After carefully sifting through almost 100 submissions, the judges have selected the winners of the 2015 study abroad photo contest. This year’s entries showcase an amazing variety of destinations and experiences as documented by CWRU students. While only a handful could be chosen for prizes, we invite you to view more of the remarkable 2015 submissions on our Education Abroad Facebook page.

Overall Winner - Chefchauoen by Abbey Fox

While studying abroad in Spain for the semester, Abbey traveled to Chefchauoen, Morocco, where she took the colorful winning shot, entitled “Chefchauoen”. Abbey says, “These bags of natural paint pigments were scattered around the city of Chefchauoen. I chose this picture because I think the vibrancy of the pigments perfectly represents the vibrant and lively culture of Morocco.”
