The Aquaponic Wall built by Blue Acres in Westerpark Hotel in Amsterdam
Blue Acres just finished the first Aquaponics Herb Wall in Amsterdam.
In the new build Westerpark Hotel in Amsterdam, one of the most sustainable hotels in Amsterdam. Blue Acres Aquaponics designed and build a 25 m2 aquaponics wall. Two fishtanks (1300 liters) filled with trout and pikeperch will provide the nutrients for fresh to be picked herbs like basil, oregano, mint, chives for direct use in the kitchen of the hotel restaurant.
French company designing a real-time ion sensors tool for nutrients is looking for pilot-projects in fish and precision agriculture
A French company develops an automated online tool to monitor the ionic composition of growth substrate in liquid media and in soil agriculture. This equipment should bring economic solutions for agro producers acting in precision cultures such as hydroponics, aquaponics. The SME is looking for partners (farmers, technical centres, producers of nutrients) to test its equipment, assess nutrient’s impact and set up new or strengthen use cases under research or technical cooperation agreements. (Belgium) Cost-efficient techniques to develop household equipments for hydroponic aquaculture (aquaponics)
Two Belgian social entrepreneurs have developed a prototype for an aquaponics equipement to be sold to urban household but want to reduce production costs. Aquaponics or hydroponic aquaculture means cultivating vegetables and plants in symbiosis with aquaculture. The equipment is aimed at promoting local sustainable production of food at household level.
