This year BizWorld.org empowered 32,000 elementary and middle school children around the globe!

Dear Friends,

As we start our new fiscal year, we pause to celebrate our greatest successes and set the stage for the next year.  I am honored to share with you that we have had a banner year! Here are some highlights of our successes:
  • We welcomed four new countries to our worldwide network: BizWorld Italy, BizWorld UK, BizWorld Denmark, and BizWorld Mexico
  • We established partnerships with school districts creating community-wide momentum for entrepreneurship education in our nation
  • We launched Bizmovie 2.0 – an exciting new STEM program
  • We partnered with CommitChange and successfully launched our first 72-hour crowdfunding campaign
This past year BizWorld.org empowered 32,000 elementary and middle school children around the globe, bringing our total impact up to more than half a million children since the organization was founded in 1997. These children had the opportunity to experience being a leader of their very own startup, connect their learning to “real-world” scenarios, while improving their math, reading, and language skills.

Our results are stellar! 97% of classes made gains in their knowledge of business, entrepreneurship, and financial concepts. The children’s 21st century skills improved across the board; and students became more engaged in school and in their learning process.

We recognize and appreciate your generosity and support which has allowed us to bring our life-changing programs to students in every state in our nation. In addition, we are in more than 100 countries around the world. Our success would not have been possible without YOU!

With much appreciation and gratitude!

Sincerely,
Thais Rezende

WELCOME TO THE BIZWORLD.ORG COMMUNITY EDISON, NJ

Welcome to the BizWorld.org community Edison, NJ! During the 2013-2014 school year, three elementary schools in Edison, NJ taught the BizWorld program to their third grade students.  Teachers at James Monroe, Lincoln, and Woodbrook Elementary Schools worked together to bring entrepreneurship to life for their students.  In total, BizWorld reached 17 classrooms (approximately 425 students!).

Thanks to their fantastic experience, teachers across the district will teach BizWorld at all seven elementary schools.  In the 2014-2015 school year, BizWorld will reach 65 classes (and more than 1,600 students!)

CROWDFUNDING - #1000KIDSMATTER
Research shows that students are dropping out of high school at the alarming rate of 7,000 a day or one ever 26 seconds.  This past week, we launched our first-ever, 72-hour crowdfunding campaign to raise $25,000 to help underserved students in 50 low-income schools re-engage in the classroom, finish school and prepare them for successful futures.

Thanks to the generous donations of supporters like you, BizWorld.org was able to raise $24,066 to bring our programs to hundreds of students in low-income schools across the United States!

We appreciate your contributions in reaching the children who need our programs the most!
