Engaging children in entrepreneurship education will inspire and set the stage for our future leaders

All of us at are thrilled to announce our first e-newsletter to our vast community of educators, donors, friends, supporters, corporations, and partners. We have a new logo and look!

For the past 15 years, has challenged and engaged almost half a million children around the globe and across the cultural and economic spectrum with fun, hands-on entrepreneurship programs. However, the impact of our program goes beyond the numbers. In reading this e-newsletter, you will see how kids can be transformed when they are given an opportunity to learn curricula in an environment that promotes innovation, leadership, and teamwork that values their individual talents.
Not every child will become an entrepreneur when he or she grows up. We do know, though, by developing their entrepreneurial skills, we are creating resourceful, innovative, proactive, resilient, and risk-taking leaders. These skills will make them strong economic contributors to their communities no matter what path they take.
Our vision at is that children around the world will be prepared for bright futures that support global economic growth and vibrancy. We believe that by engaging children in entrepreneurship education early on, we will inspire and set the stage to develop the leaders of tomorrow.
We hope that you enjoy our newsletter! If you have stories and/or comments that you would like to share, please let us know by emailing

Success Stories
Our programs help students to shine and find their talents. Sherri W., a 4th grade teacher from California wrote: "My students are learning so much about finance and business—real world applications of math, with collaboration opportunities that are all embedded in our Common Core Standards. One of my students who struggles with learning was chosen to be the CEO of her company.  She had to pitch an idea and present it to the professionals at Chevron, who were acting as consultants for our students. She was so impressive, it brought tears to my eyes."  Learn more about what students are saying
Looking for a way to tackle student behavior during BizWorld? Veronica L., a 6th grade teacher in Virginia, tried putting her students in charge to help students take more ownership over their behavior. She asked the CEO in each company to rate their employees' daily performances (for example, if they were on-task, somewhat on-task, or off-task). Then, during each part of the entrepreneurial cycle, the leading VP in that session grades each team member's behavior for that day, so everyone has a chance to grade their peers and be graded as they move through the program. Then at the end of the week, students got to see their daily performances and were asked to talk it over with the CEO so they could discuss what they did well and what needed to be improved upon. Thanks for the tip, Veronica!
