Wines of the month

Every month we will have a red and white wine at a special price of €9.99 for the month. We work closely with our wine partners to select premium quality wines that offer fantastic value.
This month we're going French...
White: This exotic blend of Grenache Blanc and Vermentino is unashamedly made in the style of the great white Chateauneuf du Papes. Boy, does it cut the mustard. Extraordinarily lavish, it has gorgeous apricot and white peach fruit matched to serious depth and a hedonistic touch of cream. This is a great discovery wine and a serious bargain.
Red:This easy drinking, juicy, Gamay has flavours and aromas of cherries and violets. It also has a light spritz and a slightly rustic character. A great and economical alternative to the Beaujolais reds, it is certainly a bottle that will disappear rapidly between friends.

New In Store: Viveiros Monterosa

An Algarve Producer has created one of Portugal's top gourmet olive oils, originally from Sweden, Detlev von Rosen, begain making olive oil in 2000 when he decided to replace the orange trees with olive trees and revive the Roman tradition on his Algarve estate. Although, the ancient roman press is still in situ, the emblematic space now houses a modern press with the most advanced technology.  The oil is pressed cold and each variety has its own characteristics.
As well as the following four varieties we also have a taster pack with each of the varieties available so you can try them all before choosing your favourite

  • Maçanilha: fruity and buttery, excellent with salads, dips and vegetables.

  • Blend: balanced and light, with a slight peppery touch, it is a perfect all-rounder in the kitchen.

  • Picual: bitter and peppery, with a long complex taste, great with cold cuts, toasts, cheese and wine.

  • Cobrançosa: peppery and fruity, great with meat and fish, pesto, caprese salad.
