Week One: I believe in God, but ... why is there so much suffering and evil in the world?

Most everybody believes in God. Some may call it a “Higher Power.” And, we all have our questions, or doubts about God. What are your questions? How would you finish the phrase, “I believe in God but…”?

Scripture for the Week: Job 9:14-24, 33-35; Romans 9:15-16
Psalm for the Day: Psalm 25-26

Almighty and everlasting God, you are always more ready to hear than we to pray, and to give more than we either desire or deserve: Pour upon us the abundance of your mercy, forgiving us those things of which our conscience is afraid, and giving us those good things for which we are not worthy to ask, except through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ our Savior; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Clair Church Generosity!
In 2014, we began a capital campaign to replace a large portion of our roof. We borrowed $40,000 to do this project, and just this month, we are over halfway done paying it off! Thank you for your generosity that has given over $20,000 above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings in just a year-and-a-half. This is amazing! Thank you!
