Back in Greece for our 2nd time...

8-9th May 2015
... This time to launch a new partnership with the Herakleidon Museum. We celebrated with an afternoon of science and mathematics workshops in a beautiful and inspirational learning environment. After a motivating speech by the Executive Director of the museum, Nicholas, and our founder, Melissa, the girls were then on their way to experience fun workshops including interactive learning about probabilities, and crafting careers in science. Finally, with the help of our HQ Project Manager, Jelena, the girls had a chance to create their own Human DNA necklace!! Special THANK YOU to Milena, our Project Leader in Greece who led the way to coordinate this special event!
On top of it all, g4g was honoured and humbled by all the of attention from the Greek media! Check out these articles and press releases:

1) Kathimerini English Edition“We are pioneering here in Greece something which we might copy all over the world and encourage other museums and resources like this to be that element.”

2) Huffington Post Greece: Melissa Rancourt: The woman who educates girls who will become the engineers of tomorrow (in Greek)
3) My Greek Review: Female scientists wanted!

Our trip proceeded with a community event at the Campion school where our g4g table was taken over by inspired greenlight girls who ended up being the teachers and engaging the students themselves! Thank you Campion school for inviting us to a part of your International day.
