Project C.U.R.E./Kits for Kids

Kits for Kids for Project C.U.R.E. was a hit for the 2nd year in a row! I love this project for our group because the kids can do most of the work themselves so feel really connected to the cause. It's a great way to start conversations about those around the world in need of basic medical supplies that, for us, are so easy to acquire. Thank you to the families who came to the event and to those near and far who could not make it but wanted to help anyway. There's no way we could have filled all 25 bags without your generous donations! Thank you!

RLH's very first organized project was one of our favorites so we are doing it again this month: Baking for Firefighters!  Families bake what they are able before the event and then get together to package them up and hand deliver them to a nearby firehouse. If the firefighters have time, we will ask them for a tour while we are there. Don't miss out on this easy, fun way to show some real local heroes how much we appreciate them. As a special bonus, Ariana Banks Hall of Seodra Photography has offered to come take professional photos of our kiddos in action! Please RSVP here for this event.

We have committed to gathering an enthusiastic group of kiddos and parents to volunteer at the 5th annual Frank Shorter RACE4Kids' Health 5K in Broomfield. Race proceeds benefit Healthy Learning Paths, a Colorado, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  Their mission is to empower children by teaching wellness strategies for success in health, learning, and life.  Healthy Learning Paths serves all children, with a focus on early childhood and families with low income.  Come along with us and help make the race a success and cheer on the runners!
As you may or may not know, my family will be moving very soon. We are not sure yet where we will be moving to, but my husband will be graduating from his Phd program in May so we will hopefully be moving on to a brand new adventure. I hope to start a RLH chapter wherever we do end up, but I'm excited to announce the wonderful RLH parents who have stepped up to keep the Boulder chapter going: Rachel Bannon-Godfrey, Charina Cordova-Velayo, Hetal Mehta and Lark Rambo. To read more about this dream team, see the "Who We Are" page on the RLH website. Special thanks also to Lisa Chase for agreeing to head up the Wonderland Park adoption. Thank you all!!

Want a Raising Little Heroes tshirt to wear to events and around town?  Let us know and we will order a few for you and your family members.  For more information, please see the "RLH tshirts" page on our website.  Order today!

We need your feedback as we begin to plan more events, so if you haven't already, please take a few moments to fill out our Family Survey.

Interested in being on our Advisory Board?  Want to be more involved in planning and pulling off our events?  You might want to consider checking out our "Volunteer Positions" page for information about available positions.  We have a great team, but we could use more help coming up with fun and interesting projects for our families.  Join our team now and be part of the excitement!

If you would like to be more involved but are not sure you want to commit to any of our available positions, we can always use committee help for individual projects.  If one of our upcoming projects looks particularly interesting to you, please consider contacting us about helping to run that specific event.
