An exciting New Year unfolding for NTC...

The joy of a new term.

September is one of the most wonderful months in the life of our college. Without exception, THIS  is why we exist: for the sake of all those students who dare to open their ears to hear God's call, courageously respond to God's nudge, step out in faith and join a community of learning, stretching, transformation and growth into real Christ-likeness!  And, as students start to inhabit the college's spaces again, from the J B Mclagan Chapel, ringing with music, prayer, preaching and Scriptures, to Hurlet Hall reverberating with laughter and friendship-creating chatter, from the Emmanuel Centre where students immerse themselves in lectures and faculty engage with learning and teaching - THIS is why we are here! To train men and women, to equip and nurture people, to be shaped alongside each other into servants of Christ deepening our understanding of mission in the 21st Century. It's a wonderful time of year!
As you can see - we have a lot going on! From former student and amazing Pastor-Leader Rev. Pete Read preaching in our Graduation service on Saturday the 15th of October at 11am, to the Biblical Scholar Professor Michael Gorman giving this year's Didsbury Lectures - you are invited to attend, tune in, and especially pray for us as this New Year unfolds!

Lots on offer!

In the coming weeks there is a LOT going on!  You can join us for classes in diverse areas and in a whole range of ways! From ONE DAY ONLY dipping your toe in (like the Creative retreat), to more extended learning through our Short Courses https://nazarene.ac.uk/short-courses/ (eleven weeks that could change your life!), to a whole lot of incredible thinking opportunities that will make you ask hard questions and wrestle with possible ways of being in the Urban Mission and Ministry courses (and more besides!). We have specialists coming in - from the wonderful artist, leading our Creative retreat: Lesley Sutton http://www.lesleysutton.co.uk, to Urban specialist and head of Newbigin House in  Birmingham, Ash Barker http://newbiginhouse.uk/ .  It is so amazing to see the people who are willing to help profoundly shape us into the likeness of Christ!
If you are a bit frightened of studying, or unsure about direction, if you studied years ago but fancy a refresher... You're MOST welcome.

Uniquely created by God...

This retreat day is just before the Christmas rush, enabling you to stop. think. pause. reflect. Take time to think again about who God has created us to be.

We'd be delighted if you'd join us as we celebrate the achievements of our students.

A heart for the city...?

In an increasingly urban world, what is God saying to us? How can we engage in 'seeking the welfare of the city'? A class that lets you probe deeply, think daringly, dream widely, practice+theology+experience+the city = God is doing a new thing!
