Without a Pencil, You Can't Do Homework
July 31, 2018

For many of our kids, “back to school” means new teachers, freshly sharpened pencils, and the latest backpacks.  But for some, school is a large financial burden.

Students need notebooks for homework and problem-solving, crayons, pencils and paper to learn to read and write, and backpacks to bring books to and from school.

Without these basics, kids who are in need not only fall behind their peers, their futures may be at risk. Essentials that we may take for granted are lifelines for children living in poverty.

How can you help?

Join us on Monday, August 20th from 12:30-2:30 pm for our School Supply Collection Day! Purchase school supplies, bring them to Mitzvah Circle Foundation, and help us prepare back-to-school backpacks on a fun afternoon of family service. Register to attend through our on-line volunteer calendar.

What We Need:

New Backpacks     Notebooks     Folders     Binders     Calculators
Pencils     Crayons     Markers     Erasers & More!

Here are two other ways you can make a big impact in the life of a child:

•    Join your classmates, friends, club members, co-workers, faith group, or scout group to host a School Supplies Collection Drive.
Consider making a monetary donation to Mitzvah Circle Foundation.  Your contribution and generosity helps us sustain our critical work.

For directions to Mitzvah Circle Foundation find us on Google Maps at 1561 Gehman Road in Harleysville or call 267-649-7610.
