Updates on our annual fall and spring events.

TGD Updates!

Extra Gaming for Extra Life is Canceled:
What a year this has been - it feels like packing up Tennessee Game Days XV was the last normal thing we did!

With the national Extra Life Game Day approaching this weekend, we thought it important to officially announce what I'm sure you already knew -- Extra Gaming for Extra Life will not be happening this year.  We encourage people to have their own game day within their Covid bubble and consider maybe raising some money for the cause.  We'll miss building on the great success we had in 2019 but logistics and case loads in the community just made it impossible to hold right now.

Spring Planning Continues:
At this point in time, it is hard to predict what will happen with the annual spring event.  There are a lot of variables in play and things to think through.  We are working on what a socially distanced TGD might look like -- what changes would be required, how many people we could safely host, what needs to happen with community case numbers to feel comfortable, etc.

A lot of that will be a work in progress, but our current goal is to create a plan that we can share, concurrently with opening registration, shortly after Thanksgiving.  We may still ultimately have to cancel or postpone the 2021 event - and would likely make the official call on that in late January.  Stay tuned for more information!

In Memoriam

Jason Pack Passes: We are sad to report that last week Jason Pack, who was a long time attendee and volunteer at Tennessee Game Days, died.  Jason was always willing to lend a hand to make our events happen.  He was also a sharp adversary at the game table but with grace and sportsmanship.  We will miss his presence.  More info can be found at the online memorial.
