Yoga Classes ~ Workshops ~ Therapies ~ Teacher Training ~ Retreats 


Whoop whoop!! At Last the sun is shining high today, and although very indecisive, nature is still flourishing and we are all feeling a big shift in our energy levels as pitta energy starts to dominate the season. Pitta element is fire and generates energy, expansion and growth and encourages change and transformation, inspiring us to take risks and to act on courage, intuition and inner strength, and with tonights blue moon its time to take control. When over stimulated pitta energy can make us feel irritable and angry, hence the term 'hot headed'.  So take time out to practice slow flowing yoga postures, moon salutations, breath and ensure you keep yourself cool and hydrated.
This months newsletter contains information about  my holiday dates, The Yoga and Holistic health festival, my 200hr yoga teacher training course, yoga workshops with Jambo Truong. new yoga retreat and details of my meditation workshops.  You will also find some yummy recipes and tips to relieve hay fever.  As we have been focusing on inversions these last few weeks I have included a video by Kathryn Budig to encourage you to practice...Great to see so many break throughs so keep up the practice guys, and remember how awesome you are.

Invert your world workshop

This workshop will turn your world upside down to discover hand stands, hand balancing and gravity surfing techniques. Whatever inversion your practicing this workshop will provide lots of tricks to strengthen your practice and improve your confidence with inversion asana

Therapeutic backbends and rejuvenating standing pose series with Jambo Truong

Therapeutic backbends - 10.30am – 1pm  -
Therapeutic backbends are great preparatory postures to work towards deeper backbends.  Learn how to free your spine in a way that feels pleasurable and healing
Rejuvenating standing pose series – 2pm – 4.30pm    
Standing postures can be rejuvenating, restorative and conditioning at the same time.  This is one of the best ways to improve hip flexibility, strengthen the legs and support the lower back.  A great way to seal the effects after backbends

£45 for both workshops or £25 each

Tonights Blue moon.

A full moon happens when the sun, earth and moon line up in that order, and the sun’s light shines directly onto the moon. It is also a time when the lunar energy is at its most intense.

Therefore, when we have a blue moon, which happens when two full moons occur in the same month, we are empowered more than ever.

All full moons bring us in touch with our emotions, our sensitivities and
our inner-selves.

When we are in tune with the natural energetic currents of nature, we can combine our own energy forces so that we have an extra surge, which helps to push us in the right direction.

This blue moon is a powerful one and it is signalling that it is time for us to take control and take the power back from areas of our lives that have been roaming free and taking us down a road that leads to nowhere.

Yoga and holistic health festival in Hull

You are all invited to join us for a day of yoga and holistic health to celebrate Hull's holistic community and raise funds to provide yoga and therapy for people living with cancer, respiratory health issues, disability, anxiety and depression, children with special needs and teen yoga.
Free Yoga tasters in Acro yoga, Yogabellies yoga for pregnancy, Ashtanga, Dru, Yin, Childrens, Family, Mummy and baby, hand balancing yoga, stretch, Pilates, Yoga for cancer, meditation, mindfulness, baby massage and Thai Yoga massage.  Holistic treatments available include Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Nutrition, Reiki, Indian head massage, sports massage and chair massage.
There will be products available to purchase including aromatherapy oils, incense, nutrition, equipment, clothing, workshops, candles and much more.
Entrance fee's- £5 per person - £2.50 Concessions

I absolutely love this recipe so easy to make and its sugar free, paleo and vegan, this certainly  fulfills the chocolate cravings - Coco-nutty granola clusters from I quit sugar for life book by Sarah Wilson - 
175g coconut flakes
250g mixed nuts and pumpkin seeds
2 tbs chai seeds
80g melted coconut oil 
4 tbs rice malt syrup
50g raw cacao powder
2 tbs cacao nibs
Preheat oven to 120 and line baking tray with greaseproof paper. Combine all ingredients, spread on tray and bake for 20 mins turning half way through. Leave to cool and enjoy

Completely inspired by Charlotte who is taking part in lifestyle 2015 by selling her homemade buns , doing car boot sales and cycling 30 miles to raise funds for the yoga therapy foundation.
Hello, my name is charlotte and I am 11 years old. I am doing Lifestyle and I want to raise money for the Yoga Therapy Foundation this summer (which provides funded referral yoga classes and therapy for disability, health issues, rehabilitation and cancer) in memory of my Grandad who suffered from COPD. He struggled to breathe properly and I feel that there was very little support for him. The Yoga Therapy Foundation can help people just like my grandad to learn how to breathe effectively so that they can live a better life and do more of the things they would love to do. To raise money for this I am going to do a bike ride on the Hornsea rail trail, which is about 30 miles. I have not cycled this far before so this will be a real challenge and I think that my Grandad would be very proud. I will also be selling some of my things by doing a carboot sale as well as hosting a garden party and selling home baked cupcakes...maybe more! Please support me by donating whatever you can to this inspirational cause.
