Welcome to this autumn edition of the enewsletter. I hope you have been enjoying the unseasonal but lovely spell of mild and sunny weather.
Did you manage to come along to the Food Festival at the end of September? Thousands of people visited making it the busiest yet. We are now planning for Christmas, which will begin in Farnham on Saturday 21 November with the Christmas lights switch-on.
I hope you enjoy this edition and find it useful. Please do encourage your family and friends to subscribe too.
If you have any questions about anything to do with Farnham, please do get in touch. If we do not know the answer we will certainly be able to point you in the right direction.

Half term activities
There is so much happening in Farnham this half term. Check out our Events calendar for things to do.
Big Pick Week will take place between 25 October and 1 November and anybody can take part. To organise a litter pick, contact us and will provide you with black sacks, gloves and litter pickers. We will also arrange for the collected litter to be taken away.
There is still time to take part in this month’s celebration of craft. See local makers in action, discover Farnham’s rich craft heritage and try your hand at something new by taking part in a craft activity.
Our new hybrid electric vehicle is going to be busy. We will be using it to transport equipment to events and to reach less accessible parts of the cemeteries and allotments. As it is so quiet, we will also be using it to water the hanging baskets early in the morning.
As the vehicle is set to become a familiar sight around Farnham we think it needs a name so please do send us your suggestions.
We are delighted to have been selected as one of three finalists in the digital communications of the year category in the National Association of Local Councils’ ‘Star Councils’ awards. The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony in Birmingham on 27 October.
We are putting together a free guide to Christmas events and activities happening in Farnham. If you are organising a Christmas-related event please send us details and we will include you in the guide. Remember that you can also add your event to our Events calendar free of charge.
