Last week's first gathering for Soup & Storytelling was so nourishing. Folks came to share stories, hear music, and eat amazing sweet potato peanut stew. Join us this week, Tuesday, October 9th at 5:30pm, to hear stories from April Duckworth's new children's book, The Light Magnificent and a tale from Medieval literature scholar Zac Hyde. All are welcome!

Every Tuesday evening, Enough Pie and The Stone Soup Collective host a free gathering -- Soup & Stoytelling -- in the Butterfly Book Nook, a pollinator garden built by the community across from the Food Lion on Upper King (1020 King Street).

Neighbors & friends are invited to gather and learn to make locally sourced, healthy and nourishing soup while enjoying professional storytelling, poetry and more -- and we'll share our own stories around communal benches.

Check out the event invite HERE.
The Butterfly Book Nook is just beginning its journey.  The Kick-Off Celebration was the start of enriching this shared space to interact with nature, read, share stories, dance, sing and so much more!

We need your help this Saturday, October 13th from 9am - noon to:
1. Build the new Entry Sign with AIA Charleston
2. Plant winter grasses
3. Clean out defoliated compost (fancy word for leaves that fall on the ground)
4. Decorate the pathways with painted rocks (great for kids!)

WORDS ON WINDOWS: A Poetry Collaboration in Public Space
Be on the look out for poetry around the Upper Peninsula.  Words on Windows, a collaboration with Free Verse Poetry Festival, is part of putting nourishing local poetry in small businesses and non-profit's windows this week.

Check back later in the week @enoughpie on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook for pictures and to see a full list of locations.
