SEASON 7 / EPISODE 258 / May 2

Happy Friday!

I'm so excited to share this week's episode with you. In case you haven't already seen or listened our guest is the talented artist Jon Marro.

This week's guest is a ray of sunshine. Jon is one of those people everyone loves being around. He’s loyal, cozy, and so creative and wise. He’s a writer and illustrator who has worked with artists including Jason Mraz, Madonna, and Maroon 5 on album art and mech. In the episode we talk about the power of words, feeling feelings, surrender, creativity, curiosity, and more.

Using the 3 Doshas (Kapha, Pitta, and Vata) in your business and life.

This is something I learned a couple months ago from previous podcast guest (and Ayurvedic Queen), Sahara Rose. At her book launch at ABCV, she talked about using ayurvedic doshas in your business and work by splitting up your week into kapha/pitta/vata days. For me, this looks like pitta days for meetings, podcast recording, admin work, kapha days for rest, and having vata days for creative projects.

I'm trying to have more structure and more flow in my week. What are your productivity tips?

I love Brené Brown. I saw her the other day at The Wing. She was so lovely and talked about tough conversations and was so great in person. I can’t wait to watch her Netflix special!
Check out episode 137 with Josh Radnor. Josh is an actor - you might recognize him from the show How I Met Your Mother and the movie HappyThankYouMorePlease. He made me think about things like religion, creativity, and writing in a new way and above all his insight inspired me to want to be better at being myself and expressing myself creatively. Josh's work is super meaningful to me. He is genuinely kind, generous, wise and woke

Episode 160 with musician Misty Boyce is one of my favorites from the archive. Misty is a super successful and talented musician so we talk about her career, writing process, and advice for aspiring musicians, as well as her current and future projects she has in the works.
We had a long and raw conversation about everything from her own eating disorder and body image struggles, to where she’s at now healing it all.

Emmy’s Organics snacks are DELICIOUS and are the perfect treat to satisfy a sweet tooth.

They are made with simple ingredients like organic coconut and organic almond flour, and they never use any artificial ingredients, preservatives or natural flavors. I love these coconut cookies with my afternoon tea. Find them online or at your local Whole Foods.

Vitruvi makes the most lovely
essential oils and diffusers.
I have the ceramic diffuser in white and love to put frankincense and lavender in there to relax after a long day. Their products are so elegant and fit in perfectly with the vibe and decor of my room. Their diffuser and essential oils would make a great Mother's Day gift! Check 'em out with the link below.
