Kiera- "The training helped with getting comfortable speaking in front of people and how to actually facilitate a group discussion and keeping it in a timely fashion."

Meet a QTPOC Legend: QTPOC Pride Panel 2018

Our panel talked about how Pride impacted us here in NOLA . It was very diverse and discussed how Pride has changed over the years and ways to improve Pride and what was lacking in the Queer Community of Colour. Also finding ways to get others involved in our movement.
Miss Major, is a trans woman activist and community leader for transgender rights, with a particular focus on women of color. She served as the Executive Director for the Transgender Gender Variant Intersex Justice Project, which aimed to assist transgender persons who were disproportionately incarcerated under the prison-industrial complex. She also participated in activism for a wide range of causes throughout her lifetime, including the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City.
