Hi! I hope this update finds you enjoying your spring activities. As I write this it is SNOWING here in Wyoming! But summer is comin' - I just know it!
Last time I wrote, we were preparing for a busy spring. My CD release concert was a blast, especially as my good friend Jason of Bread of Stone joined me on his cajon. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy that evening together!
I got to spend some time with a couple fun youth groups in California, in between some much-enjoyed time with our family! Then it was back to Wyoming for a youth retreat and a ski retreat with my own youth group.
I was blessed to join Citizen Way and one of my new favorite bands Cadence atRed Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado for their popular Easter Sunrise Service - definitely one for the memory books! Miss Carrie Karpinen of Cadence was nice enough to accompany me on the cajon for my songs!
My brother Taran had a spring ball game up at Black Hills State University, where we were SO happy to finally see him play some football - and he got an amazing interception in the game, I might add! I was blessed to also be singing at a church in Spearfish the same weekend.
Since then I've been back and forth across South Dakota several times...singing at a couple of churches, a youth event, and then was blessed to get together with some young single moms to share my heart and to visit with them about their lives. I hope to join them again for more events as that was a really special evening.
So thankful for all my new friends in the Lord!
I am grateful for the experiences God's given me over the last couple of months...for the special times we had with old friends and our family...for meeting new friends across several states...for intimate moments of worship and ministry with congregations and believers near and far....for the laughter and even for the tears. There is a season for everything and there is nothing under the sun that comes our way that is not first filtered through His great love and plan for our lives. With that in mind, please pray for one of my very dearest friends and her family. She lost her father unexpectedly while I was on the road, and our hearts are broken for them. We trust in our Father's love and provision for them, but would like for you to lift them up in prayer that they might continue to feel His perfect comfort and strength as they grieve and carry on with life without their amazing father and husband here on earth with them. Thank you, God, for the HOPE that they have!
She is like my sister - I love you, Rett!
And this...this is what my sweet cousin thinks of our travels! We certainly miss our loved ones terribly, but thank You, Lord, for Your guidance in my life and for every gift of opportunity You give - our times are in Your hands!
The Lord bless and keep you and yours this wonderful spring season! Until next time! :)

Have you seen my new YouTube series I call "Monday Melodies?" When I'm not traveling, I still wanted a way to reach out and connect with y'all! I have recorded some of my own songs, as well as covers of popular songs, and share what's "In My Head" about those songs in a sort of mini-devotional thought each Monday. You can click on the video image to go check out what's "In My Head" these days on YouTube!
