Last Month's Newsletter

If you missed the newsletter that went out in December, you can view it here.

Date Correction

In the December and January newsletters, I just noticed that I listed a group class date incorrectly. I accidentally listed February 11-13 and March 11-13 as group class weeks. There is no group class in March this year. There were only four scheduled this year (October, November, February, and May) as per the Studio Calendar handed out in August.

March 11-13 is a private lesson week.

Spring Break Week

The studio is open as usual, the week of Spring Break (March 25-29) since I am closed the week prior for a conference. If you will be gone over Spring Break, please let me know

Outside Summer Camps

Piano and Composition Camp - Anderson University

Anderson University’s Piano-Composition Camp is a unique program that allows young pianists to not only develop their piano and musicianship skills but also to learn how to compose their own pieces by learning fundamental skills of music theory and composition. It will also be a great opportunity for them to make new friends from all over the world!    Read More.

Piano Camp - Butler University

Butler piano camp for ages 7-11 is designed for students with at least one year prior piano study. It is recommended that students have at least one year of piano study. Students will be divided into smaller groups based on age and repertoire level. Activities will focus on music skills that are appropriate for students in each respective group. Our intent is to maintain interest, stimulate imagination, and provide attainable challenges. Classes may include repertoire, ensemble, music theory, and games.     Read More.

Gene Marcus Piano Camp and Festival - Purdue FW

The Gene Marcus Piano Camp & Festival aims to inspire young pianists to strive for artistic excellence and to encourage them to reach their potential in piano study and performance. The camp is open to intermediate through advanced pianists in grades 7 through 12 (as of spring 2019) who are interested in improving their playing and performance.  Read More.

Group Class Makeup Opportunity

In October, I had to cancel our first group class week of the year due to illness. I wanted to offer another group class for students to attend if they are interested/able. Students will be able to sign up for the time the works best for them.

Option 1: Wednesday, April 24 @ 6:00-7:30p.m.
Option 2: Thursday, April 25 @ 3:00-4:30p.m.
Option 3: Thursday, April 25 @ 4:45-6:15p.m.

As we get closer, I will be asking you to sign up for the class time you would like to attend in. (Participation is not expected nor required).
