What We're Up To

Christmas is a wonderful time of year for music-making. There is no other time of year when students are more excited about playing than when it's time to break out the Christmas music (Jingle Bells always being #1).

Thanks to all the students who participated in performance opportunities this season. (Descriptions below photos)
1) Student Hudson W. performed background music during offering at his church's Christmas program.

2) Seven students performed their Christmas music at the library during the Parlor City Christmas event.

3) Three played during the Christmas at Von Maur performance event for local piano students and teachers. (Several more were invited to perform but were unable to participate this year.)

Second Semester

I just wanted to let students know that unfortunately, the events "Achievement in Music Festival" and "Opus Composition Festival" that the studio has generally offered in March will not be offered this year.

Stay tuned for a Nursing Home Performance date in February or March.
Merry Christmas and I'll see you in January! ~Amy

P.S. Since many of you inquire occasionally as to the status of our house build, here's the update. We are moving out of our rental we've been in the last 7.5 years since opening the studio and into the basement (future studio space) of the house the weekend after Christmas. We will be living in the basement while we paint and do all the other finishings like flooring, cabinets, bathroom, etc. Yea! One step closer!
