Do you want to flex your creative muscles? This week we are sharing places in Munich where you can be creative for an hour or two surrounded by artists using different mediums. If you love to screen print, there is a new workshop in Haidhausen that allows you to create your own designs and print them on textiles. I haven’t tried this studio yet (they just opened two weeks ago) but here are a few images of what the place looks like. The studio is easy to reach from the Ostbahnhof and there is metered parking on the streets nearby.
If you want to experiment with making art jewellery, there is a bead store you might find interesting in Sendling called Glitzerstein. I’ve wandered past this place a few times. The bead store is on Kidlerstr. not too far away from where Ulli Schmeling has her studio. If you decide to make some jewellery, stop by her studio and see her sculptures on display.
BCA offers workshops for creatives. Currently we have two workshops at MBCW which focus on New Media Branding and Intellectual Property. At our office space we will have a workshop hosted by Corinna Naumann focused on mixed media and the creative process and a workshop by Emmy Horstkamp focused on Wordpress Blog websites for creatives. Our course size ranges between 6 to 10 people depending on the medium and subject matter. If you have any questions, please check out our website for workshops www.bcaworkshop.com or email us at email@example.com with your question.
If you know of a creative space and would like to share their information with us, just email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line Creative Space in Munich.
Have you checked out the program? We are offering our workshops on Saturday and Sunday Afternoon. Both have reached capacity but if you want to actively help those who signed up, you can let us know. We will only be discussing the artists and businesses who reserved a spot and everyone else who attends must actively participate in helping those artists/creatives. It should be fun and a busy two days! Munich Artists will try to attend other events during the week and share pictures with you on Facebook. The program looks interesting and I'm sure there are some very creative people this week in Munich.
Did you miss us? Because of the Ebay limit on new sellers, we postponed our next auction for two weeks so that we could post more items in our store. We list art again tomorrow and I’m curious if the two weeks offline made any difference. I will be talking about Ebay and domain names on Saturday and Sunday. If you are attending the workshops you are in for some interesting information about how Germany is different from the US and the UK when it comes to domains, art and IP.
Artists in Our BCA Space at Frauenstrasse 18 from March 11 - March 16th.
During Schmuck 2014 we will have a group of artists in our space from March 11 through March 16th (last week's dates were wrong). I will post more information about them next week. Starting in April 2014, we will be renting one of our walls to artists to display artwork. All artwork displayed will be by professional artists in Munich (professional meaning artists who think of art as more than just a hobby). We will be posting their artwork on the Friday gallery blog which will go live in April 2014.
Our workshops are booked and we look forward to meeting all the creatives attending on Saturday and Sunday. The workshop location has been moved to the Old Congress Hall where Munich Creative Business Week is being held.
