More on this to come.
Building Information Modelling (BIM) Training
As a fully BIM project, the Green Build Hub is a platform for upskilling the design team and interested parties, keen to attend our training workshops on this arguably game-changing software system.
"The BIM session provided by CSBT on the Green Build Hub illustrated how these processes integrate in practice. It was a very useful session providing insight into how a building can actually be modelled and furthermore, how design teams for can then integrate these processes before construction teams commence work on building projects. CSBT provides excellent training updates and this session was no exception."
GBH Design Team to run the Eden Project Half Marathon
Members across the GBH Design Team will be putting on their running trainers (and in some cases buying new ones!) in training for their sponsored run in the Eden Project Half Marathon Sunday 19th October.
The Green Build Hub team are raising funds for the development of educational building monitoring tools, fundamental in igniting and passion for sustainability, the construction sector and sharing know-how with hundreds of schools children and higher education institutions across Cornwall.
Keep an eye out for the team and text CSBT19 £5 to 70070 to donate!
BREEAM sets the standard for best practice in sustainable building design, construction and operation and has become one of the most comprehensive and widely recognised measures of a building's environmental performance. Over a million buildings have been registered for assessment since it was first launched in 1990.
The latest update to the scheme was introduced in August 2014 and are the first changes since 2011. The recent changes to Part L of the Building Regulations introduced in 2013 in the UK, is one of the reasons for the update.
