Dear CYBBies,

Blessings to you from the CYBB team. Today is a day of great joy as we celebrate all Saints Day and look to the Saints for inspiration and strive on the path to holiness. God speaks to each of us in the silence of our heart, so do listen, pray and respond courageously!

Do get excited as we approach our final two diocesan events all focused on celebrating the "Joy" of our faith and being the young witnesses of God's Kingdom. Praisefest & the Youth Discipleship Awards are coming up, so get the message out there and bring your friends along!

The general Synod of Bishops on "Young people, Faith & Vocational Discernment" concluded on the 28th of October after almost a month of much fruitful dialogue and listening. A brief on the final document of the Spirit led gathering can be found here.

As we draw close to the end of Year of Youth and the dawn of Advent, we invite you to reflect back on 2018 and the abundance of joy God has brought into your lives. We invite submissions of personal or parish testimonies, stories, poems etc.. on "The Joy that comes with Hope" to share with others and help us prepare for Christmas.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch on 02 8379 1635

CYBB Pilgrim Cross
Pilgrim Cross at Wyoming

On Saturday 20th October, the parishioners of Our Lady of the Rosary, Wyoming Parish, were blessed with the visit of the Pilgrim Cross and celebrated with special liturgies and refreshment. They came together to pray and praise God for the young people of the world, to reflect on the gift of youth and how much they are loved by God. They held Taizé meditations, a reflection on the meaning of the cross and saw the cross as a great gift that reminded them of the role young people have in our Church.

Pilgrim Cross at Wyong

The Youth at Wyong received the Pilgrim Cross on the 27th of October from Wyoming Parish and celebrated with a special vigil Mass at St Celia's involving a youth procession, liturgy around the Cross, adoration and a Pizza Night. The parish also held a picnic on the Sunday for parishioners and youth. The cross was transported by boat to St Cecilia's School for the school liturgy. St Peter's Tuggerah also hosted the Cross and celebrated the Year of Youth with a special liturgical celebration and gathering with its students.

Today we celebrate all Saints day and commemorate all those that have gone before us. In gratitude for all Saints and faithful departed we give thanks to God. Listen to the latest album by Matt Maher "saints and sinners."
We are called by Baptism to Holiness, that is, to love God above all things and to love others as God loves. Feel small, or that you're nothing much or sainthood is for special chosen people? You I are called and chosen. You are never too small, young or unworthy to be a saint! Here are biographies of some young saints to inspire you.
